Conference: Energy efficiency
On the 26th of February, 2008 Knauf Insulation sponsored one of those national conferences: “Energy efficient construction – law, technology, practice.” The aim of the conference was to propagate knowledge on energy efficient buildings, their designing, available technologies and energy certification.
During the conference the participants could familiarise themselves with new solutions used in energy efficient building.
Architects, designers, developers and scientists participated in the conference. The conference was the perfect platform for experience exchange, presenting new legal and technological solutions in passive and energy efficient building. Basing on Ecofys report, Knauf Insulation presented the newest trends in EU thermal requirements for roofs. The company also presented new tools aiding designers and architects in constructing warm slanting roofs and entire energy efficient houses.
During Knauf Insulation presentation, computer simulations of slanting roofs for different thermal insulation solutions were presented. Moreover, three conditions, suggested by Knauf Insulation, concerning slanting roofs were given:
- condition I: thermal insulation
- condition II: avoiding condensation on the inner side of the division
- condition III: fungus prevention
Patronage over the conference was held by the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Narodowa Agencja Poszanowania Energii.
